Lameness

Lameness = When an animal is limping or not using one of its legs.

Lameness is common among all animals. The question you have to ask yourself is, “is the animal able to perform the function I need them to perform pain free. For example, can your horse run how you know they can run? Does it break out of the gates fast and straight? Is your dog jumping in the truck like he used to? Can your bull mount your cows? Can your mare support your stud when he mounts? Can your bull buck and make his turns like you need him to? Is your horse able to make every turn smooth and even around each barrel? Is your dog able to sleep well at night? Is your cat getting up and down like she used to?

If your answer suggests that you are not happy with how your animal is performing then you need our help.

Whether your animal is a professional athlete or a professional couch potato, lameness is an inevitable fate unless steps are taken to avoid it. At Wilkinson Veterinary Clinic, we know how to keep your them performing and feeling their best.
